IV Therapy

What is IV Infusion Therapy? And how does it work?

IV Therapy (Intravenous Therapy) infuses nutrients (vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino-acids) directly into the body’s blood-stream, cells and tissues. Unlike ORAL dosing, IV therapy is far more effective than pills alone. IV therapy allows cellular healing and repairing processes to begin much sooner. THE BOTTOM LINE --- vitamin mineral & nutrient infusions allow higher doses of targeted supplements to be delivered to the cells throughout your body with better absorption abilities and faster delivery.

Who is a candidate for IV Infusion Therapy?

Many patients who seek our help did not experience health improvements with oral supplements alone. If a person is sick, suffers from chronic illness or experiences digestive complications their body may become unable (or less able) to absorb vitamins and minerals. In these cases “intestinal malabsorption” is the culprit and cellular absorption is either slowed, disrupted or non-existent. IV therapy is an excellent choice for anyone in this category. Also, people who cannot tolerate oral supplements or who are not regimented enough to stay compliant with supplements are perfect candidates. And, of course, there is a large population of people who do not feel they are able to maintain an optimal level of nutrients through a normal, healthy, well-rounded diet. IV infusion therapy is an ideal solution for anyone in the above mentioned categories!

What are the benefits of IV (Vitamin & Nutrient Infusion) Therapy?

When the balance of essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients fall outside the optimal range a person can feel fatigued, drained, tired, depleted and even experience pain and muscle soreness. These unpleasant symptoms can interfere with everyday life and make it difficult to get through your day.

IV vitamin and nutrient infusion therapy provide the following benefits: increased energy, enhanced mood, decreased stress and anxiety, improved sleep, increased immunity, improved muscle recovery and hydration,  to name a few. IV infusion therapy will surely help you feel better! It is one of the best ways to improve your health and wellness!

 Is it painful or uncomfortable?

Our IV infusion therapy is conducted in a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The IV is typically placed in your arm and is more comfortable than having your blood drawn. There is virtually no pain involved. You will be placed in a private room and will be lying down on an examination bed the entire time. We will also provide you with a pillow and blanket for extra comfort. Most patients spend this time getting “unplugged” from the outside world….. and just relax or even take a nap. You can also watch cable TV in our office during your infusion or surf the web on your phone if you’d like.

How long does it take?

IV vitamin & nutrient infusion therapy typically takes ½ - 1 hour to complete.

What kind of IV infusions do you offer?

BAXTER INFUTIVE ® Rx strength Vitamin Infusion Therapy – contains vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin C, vitamin B12, thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin B6, niacinamide, vitamin E, vitamin K, folic acid and biotin.

Glutathione (2,000-10,000mg) Infusion Therapy – Glutathione is one of the most important molecules you need to stay healthy.  It has been used extensively in functional medical clinics for years to help optimize general health conditions.  Glutathione is considered the mother of all antioxidants and top detoxification agents.

Vitamin C (500mg –10,000mg) Immunity Booster –  Vitamin C intravenously may provide major detoxification while boosting your immune functions. Vitamin C is a major antioxidant useful for combating various toxins that invade our bodies. Vitamin C also acts as a natural defense because of the mechanism of action, which produces hydrogen peroxide when it reaches very high concentrations in the bloodstream and tissues. The hydrogen peroxide acts as biological “flamethrower” in the white blood cells, hence killing invading microbes. We can achieve much higher blood levels of vitamin C when administered through IV infusion. It very difficult to achieve therapeutic effects with vitamin C when used only orally.

Vitamin C High Dose – high dose Vitamin C (above 10,000 mg) is available at our clinic as a customizable therapy.  Please contact our clinic for a consultation.
