Doctor George Sedrakyan board certified in Internal Medicine.
He is originally from Armenia. He attended medical school at the Yerevan State Medical University, graduating in 2004. He then entered a Congenital Heart Disease training program with National Institute of Health.
In 2006 Dr. Sedrakyan immigrated to US and started post doctoral research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with study focus of novel surgical devices.
In 2007 Dr. Sedrakyan entered into internal medicine residency training at Drexel College Of Medicine Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. His professional interest during the residency further focused on the evolution of bariatric surgery and outcomes comparison for different procedures.
Upon graduation in 2010 Dr. Sedrakyan started his first academic hospitalist position at nearby Temple University Hospital. Following years he spent working rapidly growing hospitalist specialty across different states and hospital systems.
In 2014 Dr. Sedrakyan started his private practice in Alexandria with focus on open access primary care and simultaneously docusing lifestyle chronic diseases such as obesity as part of Weight Loss and Vitality.
Dr. Sedrakyan is married and in his free time he enjoys playing guitars and chess with friends.
